# Hymnwise

> A free, private hymn planner for the parish music director: your hymnals, the church year computed, last-sung dates and repeat warnings, and printed music lists, hymn board slips and bulletins.

Hymnwise is a free, private hymn planner for the music director or organist of a small parish who picks hymns every week. The parish enters its own hymnals (numbers, titles, first lines, tunes, meters, season tags) or imports them from a spreadsheet; the Western church year is computed from Easter; each service's hymns are picked by slot with last-sung dates, counts and repeat warnings beside them; and the hymn board slip, bulletin insert, quarterly music list, annual hymns sung report and a folded bulletin are printed. - Hymnwise ships no hymn texts, no lectionary tables and no liturgical texts: you type or import your own, under your own licences.
- It does not suggest music from a publisher's catalogue and grants no reprint licence; it plans from the parish's own hymnals and keeps its history.
- It does not carry the Revised Common Lectionary table: readings are typed, pasted or imported by the parish.
