How Hymnwise handles your data: hymnals, plans, readings and orders of service stay in this browser, backups are made in the page, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What stays on your device
Every hymnal you enter, every entry in it, every service you plan with its hymns, readings and order of service, and your settings are written to your browser's own IndexedDB storage in a database called hymnwise. There is no server side to this site: it is a set of static files. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere.
That means your plans belong to one browser on one device. They do not follow you to another computer, they are not backed up by us, and nobody else can read them. Clearing site data for this site removes them permanently. Export a backup from the planning desk to keep a copy or to hand the job to the next music director, and add a passphrase if you want the file itself locked.
Names in your plans
A service title, a note or an order of service may carry the names of readers, cantors or the departed. They stay in this browser like everything else and are printed only when you print. Hymnwise asks for no personal details at all.
Spreadsheets stay on your device too
A spreadsheet you import is read inside the page. It is not uploaded, stored or seen by us.
Printing
Music lists, hymn board slips and bulletins print through your browser's own print dialog, and saving as PDF is done by your computer.
No accounts
There is no sign up, no sign in, no email capture and no password to lose.
What is collected
No account, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics of what you enter. Standard web server logs kept by the static host may record the request for a page, its time, and a network address, in the ordinary way any web server records a request.
Page counts
This site counts page visits through Cloudflare. The count sets no cookie, it cannot follow you from here to another site, and nothing you enter is part of it. It records that a page was opened, not what you typed.
Purchases
If paid features are offered, purchases are handled by RevenueCat and Stripe, who receive what a checkout needs. An anonymous purchase id is then kept in this browser so your access is recognised. Your plans are never sent to them.
Cookies
Hymnwise sets no cookies of its own and carries no advertising or cross site tracking scripts.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the change will appear on this page.

Questions about privacy go to socialreminderinfo@gmail.com. Since nothing is stored on a server, most requests are answered by telling you which browser storage to clear.
